AUSTIN, Texas—Lytle Pressley Contemporary—the newly opened gallery for contemporary furnishings and art for today's aesthetically attuned and value-conscious customers and designers—announces a series of events featuring in depth conversations with some of the most intriguing design luminaries working today.
“Inside The Design Studio” will host revered talents in several design disciplines for an intimate and—at times irreverent—interview by founder Lytle Pressley. The format will be cocktails and conversation including an overview of their portfolio, audience questions and answers, and opportunities to mingle.
The elegant, 7,000 square foot space on West 6th street hosts high design and high value contemporary furnishings and rotating exhibitions from mid-career artists such as Roi James and Gina Brezini. Each second Thursday, “Inside The Design Studio” will examine the genesis of design, the impulse behind design, and the inspiration of today’s luminaries of architecture, landscape design, furniture/product design, fine art, interior design, and graphic design.
Dick Clark was educated at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture and Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. He has practiced architecture in Boston, Knoxville, Managua, Aspen, Copenhagen, as well as throughout Texas. His projects include restaurants, resorts, hotels, retail, multi-family housing, golf facilities and more than one hundred custom homes. Dick Clark has many award-winning restaurants, custom homes and entertainment venues in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and downtown Austin.
