Possum Trot Residence

A new home has finished construction in the diverse and historic Tarrytown neighborhood. Possum Trot, at 2,500 square feet, is a modest urban home designed specifically for the needs of a young Austin couple.

The clients for this project are active Austinites who enjoy the outdoors and are self-described foodies. Being close to the hustle of the city and the appeal of the natural amenities that are available keep the couple near downtown Austin. As DCA began design on the home, it was decided that this house would serve as a place to “grow up” from backyard grilling on lawn chairs to hosting more formal dinners.

The clients imagined their future house would include a formal entry, kitchen for entertaining friends and family, pool and spa, yard for the dogs, home office, guest room and den, and master suite with private outdoor space.  DCA was happy to develop a solution that would accomodate the client's needs through the economic use of 2,500 square feet.

Brownwood Residence

DCA has recently completed a custom residential project located in the beautiful rural plains of Brownwood, TX

The clients' program specified a contemporary styled residence with a strong connection between the outdoor and indoor living experience. They desired that the house look different than any of the other residential architecture of Brownwood. Their style preference is clean, sleek and modern. They requested large, uninterrupted expanses of glass to maximize the view potential of the natural, rural beauty of the site.
